Gemma's trip to the Heritage Festival

Gemma Lou went to the Tiffin, Ohio Heritage festival this weekend where she enjoyed dressing up as a little Indian baby and a little pioneer.  It was a beautiful fall day and we went with Me-ma, Aunt Joey, Uncle Joey and Aunt Lana.  Fun, fun.

Our prize purchase from the festival was a miniature saddle with which to shame Aunt Joey's dog Roosevelt.

Gemma's One!

Gemma turned one last week and spent her birthday in Detroit with friends Derek, Rebecca from San Francisco and Aunt Joey.  I'll post some pictures of that day later.  We plan to officially celebrate her birthday with a party later this month, but we had a little celebration with cake the other night for her.  She was such a darling birthday princess.  Here is a video of her enjoying her cake.  Happy Birthday Baby! We love you so much!

Gemma Visits Grandma Lynette

We went to Michigan last weekend to see Gemma's Grandma Lynette. We had such a fun time up there. Gemma was into everything and made sure she left Grandma's house a mess when she left. (Sorry Lynette). Can't wait for another visit soon! It's so nice to be close to family out here.

Summer 2011

Dear blog readers, I'm sorry for the delay in posts. We've had a busy month! We moved to Ohio and stopped in Utah on the way out for a week. We had a lovely time in Utah and had a spectacular fourth of July. Gemma got glasses and a couple more teeth and is enjoying time outdoors and with her cousins. Here are some pics of our summer and our new home.

Gemma's trip to Carmel and Monterey

The Pyka's were kind enough to let us stay in their home in Carmel by the Sea for a fabulous week on the beach. We had so much fun and Gemma enjoyed some time on the beach with her dad. Allen and Ruel came down for a stay and we headed to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, one of my favorite places ever. Gemma was impressed. She loved Uncle Ruel and clung to him through much of the day. She also took advantage of the fact that he wouldn't make her sit in a stroller. Here are a few pics.

A Visit from Aunt La (the birthday girl!)

So, this post comes a little late, but we sure did have fun when Aunt La came to town. We were lucky enough to get her over her birthday and even though she's getting really old, she's still as hip and pretty as ever. She brought Gem a bag of goodies. Gemma has been obsessed with the glitter ball ever since. It's a great distraction for when I'm changing her daiper. Rebecca was kind enough to babysit while La and I had a girls' day, unfortunately Gemma's patience wore thin when it was time for shopping in SF. Still and all, it was fun and we loved getting to see Lana. We're very excited to live closer to family.

Cousin Ava's Visit

The Colaizzi's were so nice to have around. We're missing them already. Gemma loved having her cousin Ava around to play with. We went to the beach and to San Francisco, and had so much fun.
